Since December 12, 2022, Ukraine has implemented an electronic queue system for trucks called “єЧерга.” Its goal is to simplify the border crossing procedure and regulate transport flows. Initially, the service was available only at the “Yahodyn-Dorohusk” checkpoint, but today it covers a much larger area.
What is “єЧерга”?
“єЧерга” is an electronic service that allows carriers to plan their border crossing time in advance. Drivers register online, select a convenient time and checkpoint, and the system informs them about the current queue status and any changes.
In addition to the website, the mobile application of the “єЧерга” system became available on April 3, 2023. Authorization is done using the same login and password as on the website, providing easy access to the personal account from any device.
How to Use the Service?
- Registration: On the website or mobile app, create an account by entering your email, phone number, and password.
- Select a Checkpoint: Currently, “єЧерга” operates at 21 out of 28 checkpoints, including all crossings with Romania and Slovakia, 10 with Moldova, and three with Poland.
- Submit Information: The driver enters data about the vehicle, cargo, customs declaration, and, if necessary, a second driver.
- Waiting and Notifications: After successful registration, the carrier receives notifications about the time to approach the checkpoint.
“Queue Status” Section
The “єЧерга” system uses three lists to display the vehicle status:
- “Waiting Queue”: If your vehicle is on this list, track the progress of the queue and the “Estimated Time of Entry.” This indicator may change depending on the speed of other vehicles. When your turn approaches, your vehicle will transition to the “Get Ready to Enter” status. Attention! If you do not reach the checkpoint by the “Queue Cancellation Time,” the system will automatically cancel your queue.
- “Get Ready to Enter”: In this status, the vehicle should be near the checkpoint and ready to enter. Drivers are advised to follow the instructions of the guard at the barrier carefully.
- “Under Control”: This status means the vehicle is already at the checkpoint. The standard control time is up to 5 days, but in cases of additional procedures, it may be longer.
The queue ends when the vehicle receives the “Exit from the checkpoint” status. After this, re-registration for another trip is not possible.

Advantages of “єЧерга”
- Reduced Costs: The possibility of waiting in comfortable conditions reduces costs for carriers, which can reach up to 400 euros per day of idle time.
- Priority Movement: Thanks to integration with customs and border service databases, the system gives priority to trucks carrying perishable goods.
- Predictability: Drivers receive automatic notifications about changes in the queue’s movement time and its status.
Currently, the “єЧерга” system covers most checkpoints, making it an integral part of modern logistics. Further improvements to the service and expansion of the mobile app’s functionality are expected, making the border crossing process even easier for carriers.
